Accounting Internship Opportunity

Job Description:

As an intern in our Accounting team at Gerresheimer's headquarters in Düsseldorf, you will support us in the areas of financial accounting and IT projects. You should have at least three months of time available from August/September 2024 and be interested in the following tasks:

  • Support in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as financial accounting and data maintenance
  • Active participation in the development and implementation of new requirements for financial reporting (e.g. ESEF, EU Taxonomy)
  • Expansion of your IFRS practice knowledge in the context of the care and analysis of the data submission of the subsidiary companies
  • Participation in the creation of internal and external financial reports
  • Support in ongoing projects in the finance department

Requirements:

  • Studies in a business-related field - preferably with a focus on accounting, finance, tax, or auditing
  • Secure and routine handling of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Well-developed analytical thinking and numerical understanding
  • Independent working style
  • Good English skills in writing and speaking
