RheinCargo is a prominent private railway company in Germany, specializing in freight transport within the nation's second largest inland port. Our extensive fleet includes 90 locomotives and 700 freight wagons, enabling us to handle over 20 million tons of goods each year while providing a comprehensive range of modern harbor logistics services.

As a Locomotive Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our locomotives, both manually and via remote control. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through our railway network.

• Operate locomotives independently, utilizing both manual and remote control methods.
• Conduct train journeys, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Sort and manage trains and groups of wagons at various facilities, including stations and container terminals.
• Perform necessary brake tests for both train and shunting operations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of trains to ensure operational safety.

• Completion of training in rail operations or a similar qualification as a locomotive driver.
• Authorization to operate diesel and electric locomotives, as well as remotely controlled shunting locomotives.
• Possession of a driver's license for railway vehicles, along with a solid understanding of railway operations and hazardous goods transportation.
• Certification as a brake test conductor and wagon inspector.
• Ability to meet operational fitness standards as per railway safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in the German language.
• Familiarity with IT systems relevant to railway operations.
