Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at DIGITEC Financial Technologies and Services GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure, improving our client services, and driving continuous improvement across our systems and processes.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Kubernetes Cluster Management
    • Maintain and improve the internal Kubernetes cluster
    • Develop automation scripts to streamline cluster management
  • Monitoring and Alerting
    • Design and implement a monitoring concept based on current system requirements
    • Integrate datacenter monitoring and centralize customer monitoring
    • Improve notification and alerting systems, defining thresholds and escalation procedures
  • Client Service Improvements
    • Manage customer configurations in SCM and integrate with releases
    • Automate manual activities such as log downloading and weekly service restarts
    • Improve tooling for multiple systems, including holidays and other similar activities
  • Building and Deploying
    • Provision and manage a GitLab build runner/executor infrastructure
    • Monitor projects for delays in build pipeline execution
    • Deploy software to various environments and manage a Nexus repository
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software development
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong knowledge in networking, TCP/IP protocols, routing, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
