Technical Artist UE Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team at THQ Nordic. As a Technical Artist, you will be responsible for providing technical solutions to aesthetic problems and challenges on the Engine level in various art areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other artists to maximize the results of assets and materials in Unreal Engine.
- Work within Unreal Engine to define pipelines and workflows, and develop creative solutions to improve art quality and performance.
- Utilize 3D, material, procedural, and general art tools outside of the engine.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of lighting, particle systems, post-processes, material setup, and workflows within a modern game engine like Unreal or Unity.
- Ability to apply a broad range of skills with Autodesk products (Max, Maya) and Substance to ensure asset translation into the game engine.
- Open-minded personality to explore new tools and workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills across all disciplines and teams within the organization.
- Passion for real-time strategy and/or roleplaying games is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in Germany/E.U.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Positive team-oriented mindset.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work without micromanagement.
