Key Responsibilities

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will collaborate within a diverse and international team dedicated to the design, development, and testing of both firmware and hardware solutions for the Internet of Things. Your role will involve participation in various projects across different companies, contributing to the creation of innovative IoT products.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in a full-time role.
  • Defining specifications for IoT solutions.

Overseeing the development of IoT devices from initial prototype to final product (hardware and firmware).

  • Implementing development using both standard and proprietary radio protocols within wireless sensor networks.
  • Designing and executing software for embedded devices and systems, including coding, testing, and debugging system software.
  • Participating in national and international funding projects alongside external partners.
Qualifications
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of hardware/software architectures in embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with real-time embedded operating systems.
  • Proficient experience in microcontroller firmware programming using C/C++.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Batch, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (TCP/IP, BLE, ZigBee, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Test-driven development experience is a plus.
  • Web development skills (PHP, Java, JavaScript, etc.) are beneficial.
  • Experience working within agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira) is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
