About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software R&D Engineer to join our team at Advantest Europe GmbH. As a key member of our SOC Test Solutions team, you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art software for next-generation SoCs test solutions, focusing on highest standards for quality, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop software for next-generation SoCs test solutions with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with other R&D teams, solution architects, and customer experts.
  • Analyze complex problems to propose and implement new solutions to leading-edge technology challenges.
  • Work with state-of-the-art tools, development environments, and realize new functionality in high quality.
  • Be a self-reliant team member, accountable contributor, and/or owner for software modules under your care.
  • Follow agile principles in a work environment that fits your style.
Requirements
  • Completed studies in computer science or practical experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Java.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and methodologies, as well as profound knowledge of object-oriented software development methods and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive approach to new challenges, ability to bring projects to completion independently, and interact with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in applying agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Test Driven Development, etc.).
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Innovative, creative, and able to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work in a global team while maintaining high personal responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in German language.
  • Basic knowledge of GIT, JIRA, Eclipse.
  • Good Linux/Unix knowledge.
  • Good understanding of ICs/electronic measurement technology.
  • Python and/or other scripting languages.
  • Customer and/or cross-functional working experience.
