About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Aviation Industry Personnel SERVICES GmbH. As a Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and leading the supply chain for the Structure and Interiors parts within the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies aligned to the company's overarching strategy.
  • Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Finance, Quality, and Engineering, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Orchestrate a global network of suppliers to facilitate best practice exchange and continuous innovation.
  • Ensure plant delivery meets safety, time, cost, and quality targets, working closely with Supply Chain Operations.
  • Lead large-scale supplier sourcing deployment projects, taking end-to-end responsibility from analysis to ramp-up.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a technical field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably in the aerospace or automotive sectors.
  • Experience with SupplyOn and/or INFOR is highly valued.
  • Excellent analytical and evaluation skills, with a drive to challenge the status quo.
  • Strategic thinking, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Proactive, open, and direct communication skills, with the ability to engage comfortably and credibly with all levels of the organization.
  • High personal influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
