Key Responsibilities- Advise and assist our IT and application teams in establishing secure systems and protocols to protect digital assets and transaction data.
- Design, implement, and oversee the cybersecurity framework for the company's cloud infrastructure utilizing the Azure security stack, adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Proactively assess and challenge the security and integrity of our API systems, front-end portals, and other cloud applications, with a focus on data protection and system availability.
- Work closely with development, IT, and information security teams to identify potential security vulnerabilities using Azure Defender, Sentinel, and Security Dashboard, and develop timely mitigation strategies.
- Act as the primary contact for any security incidents, managing responses and conducting analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a culture of security awareness among technical staff, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into all phases of development and operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application and cloud security, preferably in the fintech or crypto custody sectors.
- Proven experience in monitoring and managing security policies within Azure cloud environments, including both implementation and ongoing oversight.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and managing security policies within the Azure security stack, aligned with industry standards such as MITRE.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, and Security Operations Analyst Associate.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Ability to report on the company's information security posture for compliance and internal/external audits.
- Expertise in establishing, managing, and troubleshooting security controls, security incident event management, and network protection for complex networks.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, data protection, risk management, and incident management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex security issues into business risks.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
