**Job Summary**

As a Cloud Data Engineer at HELM AG, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and operating the global analytics platform. Your primary responsibility will be to architect and implement the Azure infrastructure and Databricks workspaces, as well as develop the data workflow between different source systems, data lake, and data warehouse.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • You will be the first point of contact for the analytics platform and will support colleagues from IT and business in the data analytics environment.
  • You will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement adjustments to the platform and existing systems.
  • You will design, implement, and manage cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • You will be responsible for the further development of the existing cloud data platform.
  • You will perform data cleansing, matching, and merging, as well as data enrichment, including the establishment and maintenance of cloud data integration processes.
  • You will ensure data quality, data integrity, and data availability in the cloud environment.
  • You will guarantee the development and maintenance of automated data validation and cleansing processes.
  • You will build a modern data warehouse in a cloud environment.
  • You will optimize and scale the databases and data infrastructure in the cloud.

**Requirements**

  • You have gained profound knowledge in the application of cloud data platforms (preferably Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory).
  • You have experience in developing and maintaining data management solutions (ETL, ELT, streaming, etc.).
  • You are familiar with data modeling (Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF) and the use of data governance, data catalogue tools, and their methods.
  • You have in-depth experience with the use of data warehouse automation tools (Datavault Builder, Matillion, WhereScape, BIML).
  • You are familiar with DevOps concepts and tools (Azure DevOps).
  • You have knowledge of data and network security.
  • You are proficient in the Python programming language for notebooks for automated data cleansing.
  • You enjoy carrying out smaller projects and are well-versed in agile project management methods.
