About the Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees across both headquarters and operational locations. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, from data entry to reporting, while adhering to relevant labor, tax, and social security regulations.
Your Responsibilities
- Execute the full payroll cycle, encompassing calculation, processing, and distribution of employee compensation.
- Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to relevant authorities, including social security agencies and tax offices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.
- Continuously refine payroll processes and tools, seeking opportunities for efficiency and automation. Contribute to the generation of insightful personnel statistics and reports.
- Provide expert guidance on complex payroll matters, such as maternity leave, parental benefits, garnishments, pension schemes, and special cases.
Your Profile
- Possess a degree in accounting, payroll administration, or human resources management.
- Demonstrate 2-3 years of proven experience in payroll processing, ideally within a dynamic and growing organization.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
- Prior experience with German billing software (SAP preferred) is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with employees and managers at all levels.
- Fluency in German (both written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in English is also highly valued.
