Scope Group is seeking a motivated Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with expertise in Microsoft Azure services and a solid foundation in networking and security to enhance our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This position involves overseeing our Azure and other cloud solutions while guiding the integration of new cloud technologies to fulfill diverse business needs. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and a meticulous planner, driven to resolve business challenges and deliver exceptional services and support.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee Scope's existing Azure cloud and on-premises infrastructure in a Business as Usual (BAU) capacity, including provisioning and de-provisioning services, monitoring alerts, troubleshooting issues, and conducting root cause analyses.
  • Regularly monitor backups and conduct restoration tests, as well as evaluate disaster recovery processes biannually.
  • Ensure high availability of the platform by promptly addressing incidents and monitoring performance.
  • Continuously enhance the Performance Monitoring and Fault Management of Scope's infrastructure and services.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Action and Argo CD.
  • Implement Security Best Practices across all levels of our infrastructure and services.
  • Provide reporting and raise awareness of issues, risks, and concerns to various business units to inform, mitigate risks, and drive improvements.
  • Facilitate the automation of processes, system integrations, and the adoption of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to assess new cloud services and deliver solutions tailored to business requirements.
  • Engage closely with technical and business colleagues to foster long-term partnerships and ensure high stakeholder satisfaction.

Your Professional and Personal Profile

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Industry certifications and memberships are advantageous.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 1 year in designing and implementing storage systems, networking, load balancing, and firewall solutions, alongside managing Windows and Linux server environments.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience managing Microsoft Azure Cloud services, including Networking (VNET, peering, NSG, ASG, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, etc.), Storage accounts, Data Lake Gen2, Azure Kubernetes Service, Fleet Manager, Azure SQL, and Azure DB for PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in coding with Python.
  • Strong understanding of Relational Databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience in Performance Monitoring and Fault Management.
  • Good grasp of Networking and Network Protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
