About the PositionAs a Senior Robotics & Automation Engineer at Circus, you will be instrumental in the ongoing enhancement of our sophisticated Kitchen Robotics & Automation technology. Your expertise will be vital in devising innovative solutions that empower our kitchen chef robot to prepare meals with accuracy and efficiency. You will develop a sustainable and modular framework that bridges the disciplines of automation, robotics, and culinary arts.
Your Responsibilities- Collaborate with the team to implement the software and control systems for our robotic cell and its components.
- Design a sustainable and modular framework that integrates automation with our culinary vision.
- Work alongside our mechanical and electrical engineering teams, as well as robotics engineers, to ensure the successful implementation and launch of our robotics kitchen.
- Partner closely with our testing engineers to establish a rapid and reliable testing framework.
- Engage with our cloud infrastructure, remote maintenance, and all relevant system controls.
- Actively participate with our kitchen operations team to gather insights and feedback for continuous improvement.
- This role offers the potential for growth into a leadership position within the robotics & automation team, which currently consists of three members.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Automation Engineering, preferably within the robotics sector.
- An academic background in software engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
- Proficiency in developing software architecture for embedded systems.
- Experience in robotics path planning and optimization, as well as simulation.
- Familiarity with PLC programming or similar automation software systems.
- Experience managing complex industrial automation cells.
- A passion for hardware-related programming.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, preferably in Java.
- Experience with open control and robotics frameworks (such as ROS) is advantageous.
- A quick thinker with a strong ability to execute tasks efficiently.
- A hands-on approach with effective communication skills across all levels.
