Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Technical Assistant to join our team at the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) in Mainz. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing laboratory operations and contributing to our research and development efforts in personalized immunotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, including cell culture, molecular biology, and cellular manipulation
  • Support the development, implementation, and optimization of new processes and methodologies
  • Assume responsibility for logistical and administrative duties in the lab, such as equipment maintenance, supply procurement, and documentation
Requirements
  • Education as a technical assistant or biology laboratory technician
  • Proficiency in standard molecular and cell biology techniques
  • Experience in cultivating and engineering primary human cells and mammalian cells
  • Familiarity with immune profiling using flow cytometry and/or microscopy techniques
  • Desirable prior exposure to animal experimentation in immuno-oncology
  • Experience in laboratory management
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal
