With over 35 years of experience, Chance e.V. is dedicated to assisting individuals facing challenging life circumstances. Our focus is on facilitating the social and professional reintegration of these individuals across various regions in Germany.

We are looking for a committed Social Worker to join our team, specifically for our Offender Support initiatives. This role can be fulfilled on either a full-time or part-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing administrative duties
  • Offering guidance and support to incarcerated individuals
  • Assisting ex-offenders and those at risk of reoffending
  • Providing support to the families of individuals with criminal backgrounds
  • Facilitating the development and support of the aforementioned groups
  • Recognizing and addressing personal challenges
  • Leading individual and group counseling sessions
  • Participating in networking efforts and regional collaborations
  • Delivering care to adults in line with social security regulations
  • Engaging in public relations and networking initiatives
  • Helping individuals access additional support services
  • Contributing to committee activities

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Social Work or a related discipline
  • Experience working with families and individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors is preferred
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Capability to manage complex tasks autonomously
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Resilience, adaptability, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to the role
