We are seeking a highly skilled Breeding Technician to join our team at KWS LOCHOW GmbH in Germany. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a crucial role in the development of hybrid rye for new markets.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising breeding trials across multiple test environments.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing field-data assessments.
- Designing and statistically analyzing breeding trials across multiple test environments.
- Reporting data analyses.
- Managing seed inventories and variety lists.
- Documenting variety applications across RyeBelt countries.
- Documenting files and data in designated databases.
- Providing technical supervision and guidance to seasonal staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed training or studies in agriculture, plant breeding, or a related field.
- Knowledge of design and experimental analysis is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel; experience with common-purpose databases and statistical software is desirable.
- Good written and spoken English; basic knowledge of German or willingness to learn the language.
- An open personality with good communication skills, ability to cooperate, and teamwork in a diverse environment.
- High level of flexibility, attention to details, and an independent working style.
- Willingness to travel (up to 10%) and driving license class B.
