Position Overview

The Marketing Manager for K2 Skis Europe plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the comprehensive marketing strategy across the European market. This position emphasizes a consumer-centric approach, leveraging digital channels while ensuring local relevance to enhance brand credibility and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and oversee the execution of the European go-to-market strategy aligned with global directives for all product lines.
  • Design and implement a digital advertising and communication strategy, synchronized with global marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the annual marketing and promotional calendar across European markets.
  • Ensure the availability of effective campaign tools that engage consumers through various touchpoints, including media, digital platforms, public relations, and retail marketing.
  • Tailor brand communication content to maximize consumer engagement across relevant channels for execution by European markets.
  • Monitor and report on the execution of category and brand plans, assessing performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead communication strategies for key account and buying group activation plans.
  • Assist the sales team in creating and producing sales collateral, including tools for sell-in and sell-out.
  • Address all retail marketing and promotional requests effectively.
  • Develop consumer engagement plans to foster interaction between the brand and its audience.
  • Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, product reviews, and editor relations.
  • Establish and execute performance marketing strategies to support direct-to-consumer initiatives.
  • Oversee annual budget planning and ensure meticulous budget management.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in skiing across various conditions.
  • A willingness to travel regularly to European markets and participate in global brand summits.
  • A strong understanding of skiing culture, market dynamics, and lifestyle.
  • A background in the ski or related sports industries.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and enthusiasm.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and project management capabilities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Adobe products.
  • A solid grasp of direct-to-consumer marketing and sales strategies.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
