Senior RF Engineer

Barrington James is seeking a talented RF Engineer with a strong background in photonics to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing RF and photonic systems that drive our advanced communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop RF circuits and systems with a focus on photonic integration, ensuring high-performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop RF photonic components, including modulators, lasers, and photodetectors.
- Conduct simulations, modeling, and testing of RF and photonic systems to ensure performance meets design specifications.
- Work on system-level integration of RF and photonic devices, including signal processing and microwave photonics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RF performance, signal integrity, and photonic components.
- Participate in product development cycles from concept to production, including prototyping and validation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in RF and photonics technology, and apply this knowledge to improve designs.
- Generate technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in RF engineering, with a focus on photonics or related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers.
- Experience with photonic components such as modulators, lasers, and photodetectors.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, COMSOL, or similar for RF and photonic system design.
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers) and photonic testing setups.
- Familiarity with system-level integration of RF and photonic devices, including mixed-signal processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical information clearly.
