About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Asphalt Construction Apprentice to join our team at STRABAG AG. As an Asphalt Construction Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in the construction of roads and highways, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the highest quality of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, secure, and clear construction sites
  • Apply various layers of asphalt, including coatings, protective, load-bearing, and surface layers, in the construction of roads and bridges
  • Install flooring and surfaces in warehouses and workshops, including those with and without insulation layers
  • Perform waterproofing work on various types of structures
  • Operate various tools and heavy machinery, such as surveying equipment, pneumatic hammers, and vibrating plates
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Learn and master construction workflows and site organization
  • Implement environmental protection measures, quality control measures, and reporting
  • Attend and complete vocational school, pass the final exam, and complete any necessary partial exams
Requirements
  • Good high school diploma or equivalent with satisfactory grades in German and mathematics
  • Manual dexterity, technical interest, spatial awareness, and good comprehension skills
  • Accuracy, strength, and endurance
  • Reliability and teamwork skills
  • Pleasure in learning and working outdoors
