Family Support Specialist for Social Pedagogy and Child Welfare

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker/Social Educator (m/w/d) to join our team at the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) Kreisverband Bitburg-Prüm. As a key member of our Social Pedagogical Family Support (SPFH) team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to families, children, and young people in need.
Key Responsibilities- Providing ambulatory youth support in the areas of SPFH, EZB, Clearing, and accompanied contacts
- Participating in the development and implementation of individualized support plans
- Working independently with clients to identify and address their needs
- Providing supportive, empowering, and stabilizing services to families, children, and young people
- Developing and implementing resource-oriented and solution-focused interventions in the areas of child welfare and everyday life issues
- Providing crisis intervention and support
- Collaborating with local authorities, including the youth welfare office, job center, and counseling services
- Documenting all work activities
- Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision
- Completed studies in Education, Social Work, or Social Pedagogy (or equivalent qualification)
- High level of responsibility and respect for families, children, and young people
- Experience in the field of child and youth welfare
- Excellent teamwork and social skills, with a passion for working with people
- Ability to work cooperatively, with a customer-focused and innovative approach
- High level of independence and self-organization
- Identification with the principles of the Red Cross Movement
