Procurement Excellence Manager at SSI SCHÄFER

Role Overview: As a key player in our procurement department, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at the standardization, digitization, and enhancement of procurement methodologies and processes on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee projects focused on the optimization of procurement practices.
  • Assist the VP of Procurement Excellence in evolving the procurement capabilities at SSI SCHÄFER.
  • Contribute to the formulation of a comprehensive long-term strategy for Procurement Excellence.
  • Develop and refine a robust supplier management framework.
  • Drive sustainability objectives and uphold responsible procurement standards.
  • Conduct analyses of technological advancements and industry trends to foster procurement digitalization.
  • Manage procurement performance by establishing KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations.
  • Enhance existing procurement control mechanisms.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on various projects and initiatives.
  • Design and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Act as a representative for the VP of Procurement Excellence on pertinent issues.

Qualifications: A degree in economics or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in procurement. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of procurement processes and tools, alongside strong project management and presentation skills. An independent and structured work style, coupled with analytical and conceptual thinking abilities, is essential. A proactive approach and hands-on mentality are highly valued. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, as well as excellent command of both German and English, are required.
