Virtualization and Security Engineer

Position Overview

As an integral part of our team at Limbach Gruppe, you will play a crucial role in the management and enhancement of our campus network, ensuring it meets the latest technological standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and upgrade the existing campus network infrastructure.
  • Administer a multi-layered architecture of Next-Generation Firewalls.
  • Manage the administration of Datacenter networks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, including both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Administer and optimize our virtualization infrastructure utilizing VMware.
  • Oversee IT security products, including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Patch Management solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance our Citrix environment for optimal performance.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, while expanding our IT infrastructure capabilities.
  • Implement and uphold IT security regulations to safeguard our systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of network management and IT security protocols.
  • Extensive experience with Firewall technologies.
  • Proficient communication skills in German.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
