Software Quality and Test Engineer

The Oerlikon Digital Hub is a hub for innovation and digital transformation, where talented individuals can collaborate to create cutting-edge solutions. As a Software Quality and Test Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that crafts high-tech solutions for expanding markets in automotive, aerospace, energy, tooling, and additive manufacturing.

Our team is responsible for designing and implementing software evaluation test programs, building and coding test procedures, and analyzing software functional properties. We work closely with our innovative teams to ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards.

Your Role in Our Team

  • Design and implement manual and automated test procedures to evaluate software products
  • Build, code, and implement software evaluation test programs
  • Analyze software functional properties using the software as intended
  • Run test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly
  • Tweak software testing systems for maximum performance
  • Finalize and document testing procedures
  • Complete final tests and create test reports

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Profound experience as a software test engineer
  • High level of English required, German and other language skills beneficial
  • Proven experience with JavaScript (ES6+), e2e testing (Puppeteer, Selenium, or Playwright), and unit testing (Karma, Jest, or Jasmine)
  • Advanced knowledge of debugging codes and software applications
  • Basic understanding of AWS services beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collate data and compile test reports
  • Excellent software troubleshooting skills
  • Design advice to bring ideas to life and support rapid development of prototypes
  • Well-organized, good attention to details, good verbal and interpersonal skills
