About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Team Lead to join our dynamic and fast-growing team at Checkmk GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of software developers and ensuring their further development, both disciplinary and technical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software developers and ensure their technical growth and development
  • Take on the main technical responsibility for your team's tasks and contribute to high-quality code through code reviews
  • Be the coach of the team members, run 1:1s, and provide feedback discussions
  • Support the personal and career development of individual developers
  • Support team culture and bonding through team events and other measures
  • Hire new team members and align the needs of your team with the engineering manager

Requirements:

  • Profound engineering experience with a university degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar field
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience, both front-end and backend (Python)
  • Experience in managing/leading a team, including hiring, 1:1s, giving feedback, building teams, and delivering quality code on time
  • Fluency in English, with German fluency a strong plus
  • Product-oriented mindset with a desire to build a great product for our users
