Your Role
We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Domain Architect to enhance our Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Innovation Team within the Corporate Information Technology sector. This position focuses on the EA domain of Digital Supply Chain at ZEISS. In this capacity, you will provide architectural guidance, expertise, and governance to effectively manage enterprise architecture.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop the global IT technology, application, and data architecture to ensure seamless integration of solution building blocks at both the platform and application levels.
- Create and articulate a comprehensive vision for the target architecture, aligning with business needs and ensuring sustainability within the Digital Supply Chain domain.
- Assess the current capabilities and application landscape to identify and prioritize opportunities for EA enhancements.
- Lead the establishment of the ZEISS architectural IT framework and high-level roadmap within the ERP SCM domain, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, EA domain architects, IT solution architects, and IT service delivery leaders.
- Provide strategic advice to management and guidance to solution development teams on technological and architectural matters.
- Conduct scouting for new domain-relevant technologies and assist business units in shaping their IT/Digital Roadmap.
- Oversee the lateral management of Solution Architects within the decentralized CIT organization.
- Participate in EA governance roles within architecture decision-making bodies.
- Ensure high-quality architecture documentation across various artifacts, particularly within the Enterprise EA repository.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive professional experience in relevant domains.
- Expertise in enterprise and solution architecture design, covering technology, data, and application layers in Cloud Digital platforms and SAP S/4, as well as SaaS product portfolios.
- Strong process knowledge in Production Engineering and Operations, including integrations with other SCM modules.
- Demonstrated experience in EA governance within large, global organizations, applying professional EA management methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience in managing large IT transformation initiatives.
- Exhibit a high level of competence, transparency, and integrity, particularly in interactions with management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading meetings, facilitating workshops, and presenting to senior stakeholders in business terms.
- Able to work independently while engaging with stakeholders across various organizational levels.
- Commitment to continuous professional and personal development.
- Fluency in English and German.
