Overview of the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Städtisches Klinikum Braunschweig. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting nursing staff in implementing the care process, including blood sampling, vital sign checks, medication preparation and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care
  • Support with basic and treatment care, including admission and discharge preparation
  • Contribute to administrative tasks, including scheduling, phone service, and file management
  • Participate in station organization tasks, including errands and equipment processing duties
  • Assist with tasks in the department's procurement and logistics
  • Operate various software systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office

Working Hours and Benefits

Working hours are on weekdays in a two-shift model between 07:00 and 18:00, as well as potentially on weekends between 07:00 and 15:00. We offer a competitive salary, allowances for shift, weekend, and holiday duty, contractually defined annual special payments, 30 days of vacation, and up to 10 additional days off per year for shift work.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a Medical Assistant
  • Several years of practical work experience is desirable
  • Independent work in the administrative field
  • Team player, reliable, resilient, and flexible
  • Service-oriented and respectful communication
  • IT skills
  • Willingness to participate in shift, weekend, and holiday duties
