Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at ZEISS Group. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems that integrate various technologies, including opto-mechatronics, electronics, firmware, and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop system architectures that meet the requirements of our customers and the company's goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various technologies and ensure seamless system performance.
- Develop and implement software engineering methods to manage complexity and ensure system reliability.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to develop complex system solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure that system requirements are met and that the system is delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
- University degree in physics, computational science, electrical engineering, or another field of engineering science.
- In-depth expertise in technical optics, opto-mechatronic systems, and systems architecture.
- Detailed knowledge of advanced imaging modalities, such as superresolution microscopy, coherent methods, or other relevant techniques.
- Several years of experience as a post-doc or in high-tech industry.
- Proven track record of translating complex theoretical problems into functional prototypes consisting of hardware and software.
- Independent and systematic way of working, as well as excellent organizational skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive way of identifying new opportunities in your knowledge fields and persuasive power to convince others to follow-up on your ideas.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
