About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Renewable Energy Project Developer. As a key member of our Greenfield Team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our project pipeline and contributing to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and develop renewable energy projects, identifying new opportunities and monitoring their progress
  • Acquire land plots suitable for PV project construction, working closely with our technical and legal teams
  • Develop and own project opportunities, ensuring they meet our company's standards and requirements
  • Coordinate and implement project development processes, collaborating with our international and interdisciplinary team
  • Support management in negotiations, preparing decision templates and reports
  • Represent Smartenergy in negotiations with authorities and other public bodies, ensuring our projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop and control local marketing strategies to promote our projects and services
  • Support the management team in negotiations, preparing investment memos and reports, and conducting due diligence to ensure projects meet financing and technical requirements
  • Select and manage local businesses and consultants to deliver projects to the Ready to Build (RTB) stage
Requirements
  • Fluent in German (ideally mother tongue) and English (our company language)
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Project Development of utility scale renewables
