Siemens Energy is seeking a talented and motivated Hardware Engineer - Automation Technology to join our dynamic team in Erlangen, Germany. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within the energy sector, focusing on the modernization of steam turbines and phase shifters.

As a key member of our project team, you will play a vital role in delivering innovative solutions that drive sustainable energy transition. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and customers to ensure successful project execution.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering and processing of modernization projects for steam turbines and phase shifters, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into detailed hardware designs, including control cabinets and field devices.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for hardware solutions, encompassing schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including suppliers, production teams, and international engineering groups, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks or deviations.
Your Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hardware engineering, automation technology, or control cabinet construction within the energy sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN or Comos software is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English and German (at least C1 level).
