Job Title: Tooling Designer

We are seeking a skilled Tooling Designer to join our team at Aviation Industry Personnel SERVICES GmbH. As a Tooling Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools, jigs, and fixtures for assembly and production purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop tools, jigs, and fixtures using 3D modeling software and 2D engineering drawings.
  • Prepare design concepts for review and approval by requesters.
  • Make critical decisions about design technical solutions and concepts.
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOM) using custom-designed, standard, and supplier part catalogues.
  • Modify existing designs and document existing products.
  • Participate in meetings related to work, including project sessions, clarification of projects, discussions, requirements definition, design reviews, and concept presentations.
  • Contribute to problem-solving during manufacturing execution and testing, including troubleshooting and feedback to corresponding teams.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to work.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in tooling design for assembly and production purposes.
  • Proficient in using Siemens NX (NX12-NX2212) on a daily basis for modeling, assembly, and drafting.
  • Understanding of tolerancing systems and industry standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and standard and supplier catalogues.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, and processes, including manufacturability, design to manufacture, and design to cost.
  • Relevant IT, computer, and communication skills, with necessary training provided.
  • Communicative English (min. B2 level) is a must.
