Rates & Credit Post-trade

The Rates & Credit Suite of Applications is utilized daily by Fixed Income Traders and Middle Office teams globally. These systems cater to all trader requirements: providing liquidity to over 10 of the world's largest multi-dealer platforms, processing client trading requests, executing trades, and managing trades throughout their sometimes 50-year life cycle. Our product range is extensive, starting from Bonds, extending to REPO, IRS, and culminating with Exotic Portfolios. We design these systems with traceability and recoverability in mind, dealing with complex financial products. The diversity of products allows for varied processing styles while necessitating technological expertise to identify reuse opportunities across different processing flows and products.

As a Senior QA Automation DevOps Engineer (f/m/x), you will collaborate with the project team, development team, and end users, engaging in the complete life cycle of a product—from architectural design to implementation, testing phases, and level 3 production support.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the design and execution of automation, front-to-back, integration testing for intricate IB business workflows automated on distributed multi-component technical stacks.
  • Design and implement testing workflows and tools for various testing types (functional, end-to-end, functional integration, non-functional), constructing CI/CD pipelines for these tests and assisting DEV teams in integrating their tests into these pipelines.
  • Implement QA process measures (stability, reliability, performance) reporting and analytical tools that enable DEV teams to identify existing gaps affecting these measures.
  • Build and manage QA environments for cloud-based and Unix-hosted applications.
  • Collaborate with team members on platform and DEV and QA process enhancements.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Experience as a QA professional in projects built on the Java platform, including participation in gathering non-functional measures for enterprise applications and optimizing QA workflows.
  • Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, Linux Networking, and application layer protocols (HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, FTP, TCP Layer, etc.).
  • Practical experience with a Public Cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or ideally Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud best practices: CI/CD using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub & GitHub Actions; containerization with Docker; Kubernetes—preferably with Google Kubernetes Engine or RedHat OpenShift.
    • Experience with Anthos as a hybrid cloud setup.
    • Service Meshes—either Anthos Service Mesh or ideally Consul Service Mesh.
    • Open-source dependency management and CVE mitigation.
    • Automated testing, BDD, and TDD.
    • Observability using Google Cloud Operations or NewRelic.
    • GIT, JIRA, Artifactory, and BitBucket.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Code Analyzers/Linters and security fundamentals:
    • Management of certificates and keys.
    • Best practices for secret management.
    • Authentication and authorization processes.
    • Service accounts and identity federation.
    • Robust logging, tracing, and anomaly detection.
    • Tools such as VeraCode, SonarQube, KtLint, Eslint, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge in infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, failover, and disaster recovery is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of API-based service design and microservices architecture principles. Familiarity with tools and technologies supporting service design, such as API gateways, service registries, discovery, and service meshes.
  • Adept at identifying inefficiencies and duplication, seeking simplification opportunities, and capable of working under pressure to resolve major incidents.
