Job Title: Research Assistant / PhD Student (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant / PhD Student to join our team at the University of Lübeck. The successful candidate will be part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 1665 "Sexdiversity. Determinants, meanings and implications of sex diversity in sociocultural, medical and biological landscapes".

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out cell culture experiments and sample preparation for subsequent measurements
  • Metabolic investigations on various sample materials using NMR spectroscopy
  • Statistical analysis of NMR spectra and interpretation of results
  • Active participation in the scientific program of the SFB's own graduate college
Requirements:
  • A very good degree in natural sciences (Master's or comparable) in the field of life sciences or a biomedical subject
  • Interest in cooperating with scientists at the University of Lübeck and other universities, such as the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel
  • Interest in collaborating with scientists from the humanities, social and cultural sciences
  • Knowledge of cell culture and statistical/bioinformatics methods
  • Ability to work in a team and an independent, structured way of working as well as the willingness to learn different methods NMR spectroscopy)
