As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our microservices, APIs, data layers, mobile apps, and dashboards on the Checkturio SaaS platform.

Our current tech stack includes:
- Backend frameworks such as Spring
- Cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud Platform or AWS
- Docker containers
- CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with the CTO to define the technology strategy
- Own the entire development cycle, from architecture to implementation, automated testing, performance testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Implement and optimize backend services, features, algorithms, and APIs
- Work closely with mobile and web engineers
- Optimize solutions to achieve required usability, performance, stability, and scalability
- Participate in Checkturio's ideation and innovation process to identify the next breakthrough developments
- Guide and advise junior colleagues on software quality, best practices, and design patterns
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven track record of writing high-quality code that is performant, scalable, and maintainable
- Excellent senior programmer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Java, with additional experience in Python or Kotlin a plus
- Professional experience with backend frameworks such as Spring or similar
- Adept at designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and flexible data storage strategies, with previous experience with leading SQL and NoSQL solutions
- Understanding of algorithms and their complexity
- Familiarity with coding conventions, best practices, and design patterns
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and building apps with docker containers
- Experience with automated deployment and monitoring through CI/CD pipelines
- Practiced agile development methodologies
