Head of Operations 1GW Assets: Strategic Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director Operations to join our team at TenneT. As a key member of our Operations Offshore & HVDC Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our operations and contributing to the company's strategic ambitions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Operations 1GW Systems department, overseeing a team of around 300 members and ensuring the motivation, inspiration, and development of your team.
- Monitor and improve operational execution performance, leveraging operational performance transparency, an operational performance management system, and best practice sharing.
- Enhance asset performance through asset performance transparency, comparisons, standardizations, improvements, and reductions, while maintaining a solid asset risk management system.
- Collaborate with Large Projects units to deliver new HVDC assets, ensuring organizational readiness, preparedness, and operational readiness for new assets.
- Be accountable for asset quality and integrity, availability, Health and Safety, and profit and loss management.
- Relevant university degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in a leading position, with expertise in asset management, project management, and performance management in the energy and technology sectors.
- Ability to balance transactional and transformational leadership, ensuring the best interests of the community and business.
- Strong management functions and systems, including organizing, planning, controlling, staffing, and directing, to ensure business performance and improvement.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders on Senior Management level, influencing others and developing win-win solutions.
- Capacity to switch between strategic and operational levels, providing orientation and guidance in complex environments.
