Unlocking Building Potential with IoT Solutions

susteco solution GmbH is a corporate start-up of the Bosch Group, offering a platform for the real estate industry to collect, structure, and process data from buildings and third-party services.

As a Building IoT Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in integrating and onboarding building data into our cloud platform from various data sources like BMS Systems and their cloud connectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to onboard buildings on our data platform and support integration projects to extend our compatibility with existing BMS systems.
  • Utilize scripting experience to identify improvements on the technical onboarding process of partners and buildings and express them as technical requirements to enhance our product.
  • Steer integration projects effectively while satisfying customers and partners, leveraging knowledge in Building Automation and management systems and industry protocols (e.g., BACnet, OPC-UA, and Modbus).
  • Participate in internal project teams and work closely with DevOps teams to provide requirements to our internal development team.
  • Support the analysis of technical requirements and feasibility when approaching customers and partners.
Requirements:
  • Completed university studies in computer science, information technology, system integration, building automation, business informatics, or a comparable subject.
  • Work experience in integration of building small solutions based on Platform APIs, knowledge about steering external partners, and domain knowledge in Building Automation or energy optimization or metering (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, MBUS).
  • Experience with Automation Systems (e.g., Niagara, Siemens Disego, Schneider, Beckhoff) and Azure IoT (or AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Background in Real Estate domain and Python skills (or bash scripting tools) are ideal.
  • Self-starter with hands-on mentality, capacity to steer projects, and derive technical requirements; communicative to express requirements internally and externally.
  • Open-minded and willing to learn about our domain, not afraid of having technical conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business fluent in written and spoken German and English.
