About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Siemens AG. As a key member of our logistics automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for industrial logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation solutions for industrial logistics processes, including conveyor technology and storage equipment.
  • Work with a specialist team to create software concepts for logistics systems and related equipment.
  • Program and test conveyor systems after the conceptual phase.
  • Integrate SPS standard modules into the overall logistics system and handle on-site commissioning for customers.
  • Take full responsibility for software development within projects, including addressing customer inquiries and managing costs, quality, and deadlines.
  • Potential career growth to project management roles.
Requirements
  • Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in automating logistics systems, including conveyor technology and storage equipment.
  • Proficient in programming SIMATIC TIA Portal objects and modules.
  • Good knowledge of drive technology.
  • Structured, resilient, and skilled in managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Open to service and on-call assignments.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 40% of working time).
  • Effective communication in German and English.
