About the Role
HITACHI ENERGY GERMANY AG is seeking a highly skilled Factory SCM Manager to join our team in Brilon. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing activities in the factory, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing Activities
- Support and implement the company's sourcing strategy in the factory
- Manage local or allocated direct spend
- Translate local requirements into Service Level Agreements with suppliers
- Bidding and Order Execution
- Control material prices and terms & conditions throughout the value chain
- Measure gaps between tender and actuals, investigate root causes, and take corrective measures
- Improve tender material costing and negotiate with suppliers
- Factory Processes
- Engage in providing input on critical material definition phase and material supply capabilities
- Lead/support the commodity hedging process in line with factory Controller
- Act promptly on issues escalated according to escalation matrix
- Supplier Management
- Qualify all local assigned contractor's qualification (CCQP) according to procedures and regulation
- Lead company qualification for non-categorized or assigned spend
- Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) for HUB identified suppliers and non-categorized spend selected suppliers
- Projects
- Initiate, promote, and support implementation of material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects using SCM Gate Model process
- Execute SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement project
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Economics, or Supply Chain Management or relevant experience
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Strong communicative and collaborative skills
- Knowledge of MRP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience working in matrix organizations (hierarchical reporting and functional reporting)
- Excellent negotiation skill
- Well-versed on MS tools – Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
- Compliance and ethics oriented
