Field Applications Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer to join our team at ROHM Semiconductor. As a key member of our Applications Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our customers in the automotive and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the design-in of power management integrated circuit products (PMICs) for identified business opportunities, with a focus on automotive applications.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify new opportunities and maintain excellent relationships with technical teams of our customers.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, working closely with technical and marketing teams to gather feedback and input from customers.
  • Support the development of innovative products that address application trends, offering competitive solutions with system-level benefits.
  • Initiate the creation of tools for sales promotion, such as application kits or test boards, and support the development of valuable content for promotion activities.
  • Represent the company as an author of technical articles and at events such as conferences.
Requirements
  • Technical studies in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
  • Adequate years of professional experience in the development of power tree systems, including hands-on laboratory work and the use of circuit simulation and PCB design tools.
  • Familiarity with power tree architectures of automotive systems, power conversion topologies, and LDOs.
  • A good understanding of digital inter-chip communication interfaces and register configurable settings of PMICs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German, and an open personality.
  • Sales and customer orientation, and a passion for innovation.
  • Willingness to travel.
