Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at ahead. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial records, including financial statements and accounting entries, to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Handle large datasets in Excel, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and ensuring data integrity.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Handle tax filings, ensuring timely submissions and maintaining compliance with local and international tax laws.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in Financial Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting, including working with financial statements and treating accounting entries.
  • Analytical and Excel skills: Proficiency in financial analysis and advanced skills in Excel for managing large datasets and performing complex data analysis.
  • Attention to detail and comfort with numbers: A natural ease around numbers and exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and analyses.
  • Proficiency with DATEV: Solid knowledge of the use of DATEV for financial reporting.
  • Language skills: Fluent in both German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Bonus: Prior e-commerce accounting experience will be a plus.
