Your Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer for Process Technology, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for process models in hot rolling mills. Your tasks will include:

  • Implementing mathematical and physical algorithms to optimize process models
  • Applying and implementing methods and concepts from data science, AI, and machine learning to improve process efficiency
  • Analyzing databases and measuring records to optimize and further develop process models
  • Collaborating with colleagues from international locations to develop and implement process models
  • Presenting work results to the project team and customers
  • Participating in worldwide commissioning assignments, service assignments, and customer meetings
Your Qualifications

We're looking for a top-grade master's degree in engineering (possibly with a doctorate) in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or physics. You should have experience in professional software development (C#, C++) and data analysis (SQL, R). Knowledge in machine learning and data science is also essential. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills in written and oral English and German.
