The Team

Celonis' product design and research team is part of the Product and Engineering organization. We're a group of passionate professionals dedicated to designing and delivering consumer-grade experiences that empower everyone in companies to make use of process mining and the Celonis Execution Management System.

The Role

As a User Experience Researcher at Celonis, you'll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You'll work with stakeholders across functions and levels to understand user needs and drive product development. Your expertise will help us identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic research to identify business opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments
  • Work with designers, product managers, engineers, and other UX researchers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of software industry experience within a UX research setting
  • Experience utilizing various research design methods, including usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, and more
  • Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs
  • Comfortable in a highly technical environment, with the ability to engage with quantitative stakeholders and understand quantitative findings and materials
  • Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and levels of the organization
