We are dedicated to guiding our customers towards net-zero emissions through a diverse range of energy products and integration capabilities. This includes a strategic shift from fossil fuels to bio-based or low-carbon alternatives.

DCC Energy is a prominent distributor of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), supplying approximately 1.3 million tonnes across 10 countries, significantly contributing to our division's profitability. LPG serves various applications, including cooking, heating, and industrial processes, and is recognized for its lower carbon footprint compared to oil products. Our strategy includes enhancing the relevance of LPG by transitioning to low-carbon liquid gas alternatives, targeting a substantial volume by 2030.

To realize this strategy, we are establishing a dynamic and expert Divisional Sustainable Gas team, where this role will play a crucial part. This team is specifically tasked with accelerating the implementation of our Low Carbon Liquid Gas roadmap. We seek individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and eager to contribute to a meaningful transition in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Country Strategy and Marketing:
  • Collaborate with country teams to develop comprehensive LCLG country plans, detailing forecasted volumes, margins, policy support, supply chain infrastructure needs, and local responsibilities.
  • Support and challenge country teams to enhance LCLG value propositions and sales capabilities, including segmentation, offerings, pricing, and marketing strategies.
Opportunity Assessment:
  • Assist the sustainable gas team and local subsidiaries in evaluating proposed supply projects and investments from a commercial perspective.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and insights on LCLG sales and policies within the supply community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
Market Intelligence:
  • Engage in team discussions regarding developments in the renewable fuels market and industry.
  • Contribute insights on low carbon liquid gas and sustainable fuels, updating the strategy and evaluating new opportunities.
Policy Support:
  • Survey the regulatory landscape for LCLG, assessing the impact of proposed changes and advocating for measures that promote LCLG production and sales.
  • Participate in industry working groups focused on renewable gas, taking a leading role in LCLG policy matters.
  • Support government affairs professionals in developing advocacy plans that align with LCLG objectives.
Candidate Profile
  • Over 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with exposure to regulatory or government affairs being advantageous.
  • A master's degree, preferably in business.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, fostering collaboration and creativity across teams.
  • Strong analytical abilities, detail-oriented, with a capacity to interpret complex technical or legal matters.
  • Passionate about the energy transition and new business initiatives.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in at least one additional European language preferred.
