Position Overview
This position offers a remarkable opportunity to engage with teams both regionally and globally across the Life & Health sector. In this capacity, you will:
- Serve as a vital collaborator for portfolio oversight priorities in the German and Central Eastern European markets, identifying and monitoring significant portfolio risks.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to comprehend the performance drivers and recommend actionable strategies.
- Implement proactive monitoring of the Life & Health portfolio, executing management actions such as inforce rate evaluations and recaptures.
- Utilize data analytics and visual representations to convey portfolio performance, emphasizing areas of concern and insights that inform business strategies.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects.
- Analyze and interpret financial outcomes under various valuation methodologies employed within Swiss Re.
Candidate Profile
- A part-qualified or newly qualified Actuary with a curious, practical, and business-oriented mindset.
- Approximately 5 years of professional experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Solid understanding of different valuation methodologies, including IFRS17.
- Strong financial insight, with the ability to interpret financial outcomes and develop actionable plans.
- An analytical thinker with a passion for utilizing data and technology to influence business decisions. Familiarity with coding and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous.
- An independent and critical thinker with effective negotiation skills and the ability to constructively challenge the status quo.
- Excellent networking abilities, capable of fostering positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in both German and English; knowledge of additional European languages is a benefit.
