Platform Engineering Lead

As a Platform Engineering Lead at KPIT, you will be instrumental in architecting and implementing innovative platform solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing existing container-based platforms, defining technical requirements, and executing enhancements to improve overall platform performance. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the seamless functionality of platform components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of the current container-based platforms utilized by clients.
  • Engage in requirement analysis, system architecture, and interface design.
  • Identify deficiencies in AOSP code and undertake design and development tasks.
  • Develop and integrate systems using a Hypervisor-based methodology.
  • Create proof of concepts and sample code relevant to platform development.
  • Implement comprehensive verification and validation processes for platform components.
  • Write scripts in m-script and Python to support development efforts.
  • Conduct Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing, along with code generation.
  • Establish pipelines using Jenkins scripting for continuous integration.
  • Ensure adherence to configuration management protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance and foster collaboration across all software initiatives.
Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar technical environment.
  • Profound knowledge of Android systems, architecture, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Android HAL, services, and application development.
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and a solid understanding of Linux internals.
  • Proficient in C++, UML, Java, and design modeling tools.
  • Understanding of infrastructure modules, CAN communication, and inter-process communication (IPC).
  • Exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), product development, and Agile methodologies.
  • Optional familiarity with the AUTOSAR stack.
