Carbon Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carbon Accounting Expert to join our team at ClimatePartner. As a key member of our Carbon Accounting Experts team, you will play a crucial role in helping companies of different sizes and industries take their own climate action today.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain high-quality emission factors and carbon accounting models to ensure accurate results in carbon footprint calculations
* Evaluate emission factor databases and research emission factors to expand our internal database and integrate them into our software solution
* Stay up-to-date with market developments and translate them into requirements for our emission factors and methodologies
* Drive the standardization of our scalable solutions
* Develop expertise for all relevant carbon accounting standards, local and global
* Act as an interface for productive exchanges between departments such as digital solutions, customer management, and consulting services
* Support our Customer Management to provide the best service to our clients
* Support with internal trainings
Requirements
* Expertise in emission factors and knowledge of big databases in the market
* Experience in carbon accounting or the preparation of life cycle assessments
* Good analytical skills and ability to work carefully and structured
* Ability to communicate complex information in an easily understandable way
* Enjoy intensive research processes
* Enjoy working in a software environment and have an affinity for Saas solutions
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team
* Professional communication in English, German language skills are a plus
