About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our Regulated Automation Solutions team in the Center of Technical Expertise Automation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for regulated applications in the field of plant, machine, and product safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement new automation technologies for safety-related or regulated applications.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and technology units to develop concepts for the design, verification, and validation of novel, complex, state-based or model-based E&I safety functions.
  • Advise and support customers in all areas of safety-related automation technology throughout the entire safety life cycle of safety-related programmable logic controllers (SPLC).
  • Contribute to technology development and identify new methods and potentials of process automation for demanding applications.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in natural sciences, ideally with a doctorate.
  • Experience in the field of functional safety.
  • High level of commitment and initiative.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical understanding to tackle new complex issues in depth and show structured solutions.
