Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at LIDS. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Operations Manager in all aspects of the daily execution of customer service, sales, and development of personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Sales
    • Drive sales growth by providing exceptional customer service and meeting or exceeding company objectives in sales statistics.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue.
    • Conduct regular sales performance appraisals and provide feedback to associates.
    • Maintain a visually appealing store environment, adhering to company visual guidelines.
    • Ensure associates maintain a professional appearance consistent with company dress code policies.
  • Control Expenses
    • Protect company assets by adhering to company policies and procedures.
    • Assist in preparing store schedules to ensure proper store coverage and adherence to company wage control guidelines.
    • Manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, and conducting product counts.
    • Perform accurate documentation and record-keeping in accordance with company policies and state and federal laws.
    • Open and close the store as required, following company procedures.
  • Supervise Associates
    • Participate in company training programs and adhere to set goals and regular follow-up.
    • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
    • Encourage associates to comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of relative experience.
  • Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbally in a clear, professional manner.
  • Ability to operate a computer and maneuver relative software programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
