Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Laser Warning Engineering team at our Taufkirchen location. This department is dedicated to the design and development of optical sensors aimed at enhancing the self-protection capabilities of military platforms, specifically focusing on laser detection. Our sensors are applicable across various platforms, including airborne vehicles, ground units, and naval vessels. The department oversees the complete product lifecycle, from initial proposals to the development of prototypes, product rollout, and ongoing support with necessary adaptations.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate on system design, evaluation, and the definition of user and system requirements Design system and subsystem components along with their interfaces Define qualification testing protocols Conduct integration, commissioning, and testing at both subsystem and system levels Prepare development, product, and qualification documentation Manage work packages ensuring timely completion while adhering to quality and risk management standards Provide technical oversight for work packages and manage internal and external subcontractors Offer customer support throughout development, integration, and testing phases Participate in field tests, trials, and customer demonstrations

Candidate Profile

Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field Extensive experience in systems engineering Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: electrical components, signal processing hardware and software, system testing, and verification Knowledge of electrical engineering principles is advantageous Familiarity with IBM DOORS is preferred Strong self-initiative and proactive approach Analytical mindset with a structured working style Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Proficient in English and German at a negotiation level
