Financial Compliance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the role of MARISK Compliance Manager (m/f/d) at ABOUT YOU. In this pivotal position within the Compliance department, you will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and the Compliance team, as well as other departments, to ensure adherence to the company's policies and the relevant (FinTech) regulations. Your expertise will be essential in training staff, identifying compliance risks, and providing strategic guidance on compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the compliance management framework for ABOUT YOU, including oversight of control and monitoring processes.
- Draft, enhance, and implement policies and procedural documentation.
- Maintain a robust partnership with the compliance teams across the organization.
- Conduct regular evaluations of the compliance landscape and prepare detailed reports.
- Facilitate compliance audits and interviews in accordance with established guidelines.
- Deliver compliance training sessions to staff and remain informed about significant legal and regulatory developments affecting the organization.
- Manage compliance-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in compliance within the Financial Services or FinTech sectors.
- Possession of an academic degree in law, business law, or business administration is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in compliance management are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and oversee a compliance management system.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks such as ZAG, ZAIT, and MaRisk.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a practical mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while confidently presenting ideas.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required; proficiency in German is a plus.
