PLC Control Systems Engineer

As a Control Systems Programming Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the effective development and implementation of control systems. Your role will encompass:
- PLC Project Development: Design and program PLC projects in accordance with engineering specifications, followed by the commissioning of control panels in a workshop environment.
- System Testing: Conduct thorough testing of control system hardware and software to ensure reliability and performance.
- Customer Engagement: Participate in and lead customer acceptance tests globally, including Modbus communication tests with client control systems.
- Specification Verification: Review and verify project specifications related to controls engineering.
- Client Specification Review: Analyze client requirements for PLC, I/O, Cyber Security, and related areas.
- Material Preparation: Create comprehensive lists of materials required for PLC hardware and software.
- Documentation Implementation: Develop and review essential project documents such as Network Diagrams and Logic Diagrams.
- Project Management: Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints while providing remote support for commissioning processes.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A university degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Controls, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in control theory and PLC programming, particularly with PCS7 V9.1 and/or RSLogix 5000 software.
- Proficiency in writing embedded applications using advanced programming languages and planning PLC projects.
- Industry expertise in turbomachinery and/or oil and gas sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- A willingness to travel internationally, with potential trips up to four times a year, each lasting one week.
