Cloud Specialist (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a dynamic team of 30, focusing on software engineering and operational tasks for energy trading in an agile framework with cross-functional teams.
  • Design and maintain a cloud-centric trading IT framework as a key member of a DevOps unit, facilitating the integration and enhancement of external market data and forecasts, aiding our analysts in model development and execution, and establishing the groundwork for automated trading in energy markets.
  • Prioritize the automation of IT workflows (including code pipelines, back-testing, security assessments, etc.) alongside the implementation of innovative features.
  • Experience a multifaceted role with adaptable working hours and locations as part of a virtual team.

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess a degree in computer science (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent experience in software development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in professional cloud software management.
  • Thrive in collaborative environments, particularly in agile teams that adopt BizDevSecOps methodologies.
  • Proficient in contemporary technology stacks (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java).
  • Familiar with orchestrating components of major cloud providers through Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) methodologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledgeable in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong dedication to producing high-quality software and fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Willingness to manage deployments during unconventional hours and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Creative and analytical mindset with a keen interest in emerging technologies and trends in the energy sector.
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning, exploring new ideas, and enhancing both personal and team capabilities.
